On children...

Well a few weeks ago I mentioned I might post a little bit about... kids. Specifically my comment in a recent post about being a touch jealous that Craig and Ruza have such a gorgeous baby girl now. I have talked about this a bit with a couple of friends over here in Glasgow recently so thought I would post it as well. It is a bit boring so

For what it's worth, I reckon you'd make a pretty good Mum, too.

Just as a data point of 1, the situation you describe above fits my older brother exactly - he had two kids from his first marriage (one who is now moved out of home) and he remarried in 2002 and has a third child a little older than James with his new wife. He's loving it, and I'd be surprised if there weren't more like him around.

Taking on someone else's kids as a stepmother has its challenges, I guess, but "enriched" has many textures!

I should shutup already about the baby... let me tell you about the bad stuff..... like yesterday there was a 24 hour period when she wanted to feed every one to two hours not leaving much time for sleep or sanity this went from about 10pm on Monday night through to 2am this morning! That certainly wasn't fun!

OH and don't forget the disgusting nappies - omg the nappies! Craig has had a few moments when he's gagged!

You would make a great mum, I won't say cool, cos no matter how cool we think we are, I am sure kids will always find something to be embarrassed about! heh!

There is still time, so never say never, you don't know what's around the corner.
