It's an admirable thing you did, and I'm glad you've got your head screwed on straight about the meds. While I DO think there are far too many kids on medication nowadays (for any number of things), such dramatic improvement clearly shows she's one who does require some balancing.
Morgan was diagnosed with a learning disorder way back in fourth grade, after he had a truly horrendous third grade year. I can certainly relate to the frustration of having a bright child who fails; unfortunately (from my point of view anyway) there is no medication or obvious school of thought on dealing with his LD, so he ends up having to figure out his own coping mechanisms.

I know that our society likes to overmedicate these days...but she seems to be one of those kids who are genuinely helped by it. That is way cool. From mediocre grades to almost straight A's? Most excellent. :D
