5 years ago today, I married Rob. It was a beautiful fall day - cool enough to be pleasant - but not too cool. The sun was shining brightly, but it wasn't too hot. The weather was perfect. We had baby girl #2 at 5:59 pm on Thursday June 15th. We're all home now and doing well. Labor and delivery was awesome - just awesome - couldn't ask for a better experience. I will never regret the decision to induce. We decided to go with Megan's choice of name - Emily Perkins W********. She weighed in at 8 lbs 5 ozs, 19.5 inches long. ( Read more... )

Long time, no post.... Things have been busy around here. Nothing new really - work has been busy, and working on the house is the never-ending cycle of laundry, dishes, cleaning, etc - we haven't even started on getting Megan's new room ready or the new baby's room ready. It's been one of those days when I just want to go back to bed and pretend that a cleaning fairy will come clean my house. Megan woke up at 4am and took 2 hours to get back down. There's a baby moving around in there. Definately feeling baby now - much earlier than with Megan - and I love it - just love it. Tried to see if Rob could feel on the outside - he says he felt 1 good kick - but nothing else. On a side note, am I going to constantly compare my children? Had my 16 week appt Thursday - all is well with Peanut Version 2. He/She has a good strong heartbeat. I'm up 2 lbs, bp was fine, etc all good. Starting to get round ligament pains that hurt like a mother - but that's to be expected - everything is loosey-goosey in there since it 'remembers' or some crap like that. Had my 12 week OB appt - even though I'm not quite 12 weeks yet. My dr. is so awesome - she didn't even try for the heartbeat with the doppler and went straight to the ultrasound. I'm ready for morning sickness to be over! I love this baby and all that - but I am tired of feeling like crap! I feel useless to my family sometimes. It *is* getting better - I can tell - but it's still not great. I am hoping it's gone at 13 weeks - like it was with Megan.
