I had a little guitar recital tonight and it left me with a nice warm feeling. Having just finished my third class study of music with our small but growing music school, I still have very good feelings about the instructors and the direction they are interested in going. Just have no words to say how happy I am that you are enjoying the heck out of the guitar- music lessons, composing, music theory! Whoosh!
That's pretty splendid that your mom is taking up piano. Indeed, that's the advice they are giving all of us. Take up playing an instrument as you get older to keep the gray matter active.
