And really, don't let your Dad get you down. You know you're making the right choice. You're graduating, it's time to cut the apron strings and go on a big adult adventure. Yes, it might be scary and uncertain at first, but like you said...you'll be living at the beach with an amazing man. That sounds awesome, I'm so happy for you! (Even though you will be far away and that sucks. But it'll give us all an excuse for a road trip.)

If you are able to go, I am so using you as an example. My mom won't let me go to the beach with Rick! I don't want to do a day trip, I want to stay a couple of nights, and she's freaking out. I need to go ahead and get engaged or something.

"Able" has little to do with it...he can't really stop me if he wanted to. You can use going to New York as an example though...we're going for a week and Marc's parents paid for the hotel. My parents have no problem with that.

Dude. How can your Mom not "let" you do anything?? Is she using financial blackmail or something? Now would be the time to have the guess-what-Mom-I'm-not-a-virgin-anymore talk. :) Once I got that out of the way with my mom, after she recovered from the heart attack haha, we were fine. Now we talk about birth control and stuff. It's weird...but cool.

what does she mean by wretching? dictionary.com says it can mean to try to vomit, but that's if it's spelled with an 'r'.
