I could maybe do short stories, especially if I read the rules first. If you made a community for people you knew who were doing it, maybe I would make an ID to post things there? It could be fun!

yeah I would do that if enough people were interested :) i think it would be fun and might create a little inspiration for all of us to write a little more. hah. well, those of us that want to write more.

How would you feel about starting something for it early and maybe we could post excerpts of other things we'd written to get things started?

I've never done a large writing project but I've enjoyed the much smaller ones I've done; I may not be able to keep up but the idea of trying is interesting and the 'short story' idea I think will work for me.
