I didn't tell anyone until I had to take a month of medical leave. Now they use it against me. Sad, huh?

you need to go to his supervisor. Tell him/her about what happened and I'm sure he will be the one with the written note attached to his HR file. Fuck that. As a person with a disability quite similar to yours (Lupus and RA), I completely understand your situation. I've been there myself, what with not wanting to take off of work no matter how sick I was, even through my pregnancy. And having RA through a pregnancy is hell, let me tell you! You shouldn't stand for treatment like this, Meg. Its unfair and illegal. In a way, you have a responsibility to do something about this, or he'll continue to mistreat you and whoever else is in a situation like yours.
