Congratulations!!! What wonderful news. And your feelings are completely normal - I don't think there's any way to be 100 percent prepared for the shock, especially if it was unexpected - as was ours. I cried at first because I was so afraid, but the thought of a baby will grow on you over the next 9 months - which is a pretty long time to prepare! And now that he's here, I can tell you that it is the greatest thing you'll ever experience in your life.

Can't wait to follow along with your pregnancy!

thanks for sharing all the details with us! i was very interested to hear how D reacted, because my biggest fear is that when i do get pregnant, mike will not be thrilled. how has he adjusted now?
wasn't your best friend TTC too? is she pregnant also?

He's getting use to the idea. We really don't talk about it alot because I don't want to scare him to death. I know he's thinking about it on his own so I'm just giving him his time. I think thats very important. He did say that the more he thinks about it and tells people the news, the more it's becoming a reality. I think men are just funny that way. Hopefully when we go to the doctor and maybe hear the heartbeat, he'll really start to get excited.

Yeah my friend is pregnant. We don't live in the same town so I hate that now. She's about 17 weeks.

Congratulations on your wonderful news!! Personally I think it's better for a pregnancy to be somewhat unexpected, and it sounds like the two of you are adjusting really well to the surprise and keeping the lines of communication open, which is fantastic.
