I love love love my puppy.
But, it makes me nervous as a mom that his 'I just was bad and ate cat poop' breath pretty much makes me actually gaggy/want to puke.
I know kids don't eat cat poop (or at least I hope not), but I'm nervous I don't have what it takes to do what moms have to deal with.

You can still have visceral physical responses and be a good parent! I puke/gag if I see spit or puke or whatever. And although I never plan on having kids just cuz you've got a gag reflex doesn't mean you can't be a great parent!
Parents think things are gross too =p

I know a kid that used to eat cat poop, lmao.
I don't know what's worse though, dogs eating poop or their (or another dog's) throw up.

I have serious issues with mucous, a hilarious unfortunate circumstance when you are an SLP in a nursing home... luckily, I've found a way to compartmentalize it and by the time I could process it, it's already gone and a non issue. I'm sure you'll find you own way to make it work and you CAN gag in front of your child, for a while they'll have no idea what that means... haha.

You make it work... I have issues too, but they aren't even my kids and I've dealt with poop and puke and been ok. :)

That's what dads are for.
