having seen harry potter and the prisonner of azkaban twice in the three days since it's been released, I've gone on an imaginary casting kick in my head for the next two books and so far I've gotten a good few ideas-
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Becca and I both agree that we should have KEIRA KNIGHTLEY as Fleur Delacoeur, the Veela Girl from "Goblet of Fire." Sure, she's not French, but how perfect would that be, as the utterly irresistible girl? Or maybe Emmanuelle Beart, or Virginie Ledoyen? Anyway, you're looking for someone European and GORGEOUS, and that type is in short supply...but who for Viktor Krum? Maybe Dougray Scott? But he's getting too old for the role...

Excellent choice with Kiera Knightley, Jess. I hadn't thought of that. Also, I agree with Kate Winslet as Tonks-- I don't think I would have prior to seeing Eternal Sunshine, but now I definitely think she'd work.

That's so funny, I was thinking of both virginie ledoyen AND emmanuelle beart, but I thought that virginie's coloring was all wrong, she'd have to die her hair/wear a wig and colored contacts and emmanuelle is a little old. Keira Knightley could be good though, I'd just need to hear what her french accent sounds like.

My vote is definitely for Virginie Ledoyen. It's definitely got to be a Frenchwoman. And she's brilliant. Seen Bon Voyage? Just came out here, check it out. It's got everything you could want. (Including Ms. Ledoyen, hence the connection.)

I didn't get home until one on sunday (that's from the cape, where I get no cell phone reception) and I was planning to last night until my mother and I got into world war three about me wanting to become a teacher AGAIN. I'm going to call you tonight because I am dying to talk to you, about a large number of things. IN fact, I'll call you right now.
