Baby Blanket

I'm making progress with the blanket and I'm really pleased with it so far. I laid it out on the floor to get an idea of the size and it looked great without the rows even being sewed together. My sewing is progressing well too. I don't feel like the whole thing is going to fall apart once the child gets his hands on it.

That's a cool idea for a blanket. Did you knit the individual pieces?

Yup. It has taken a good while, and there is a good bit of making up left to do, each patch and each edge strip is an individual piece of knitting. I'm a non-sewer (prior to this) so it was a project I picked to get better at sewing.

The dad picked it out of the pattern book too, so they do know they are getting it. I'm trying to get it done for his baptism in February.
