actually throughout LoTR you learn that gollum leaves his cave shortly after bilbo leaves, wanders around for a few years, he then wanders into mirkwood drawn by the evil of sauron, however he is captured by the woodelves and kept lightly guarded, eventually he climbs up a tree refusing to come down for his guards. the guards are then killed by orcs, they chop the tree down and he is captured and brought to Mordor, where he is tortured for several more years. he then "escapes" (is set free) and goes after frodo. n00b
miiiiiiiike I hate you soo much...thanks for helping me earlier well i wrote all that stuff down I kenw that. I didnt remember the climbing up the tree refusing to come down part. In the first one Legalos says that they pitied him so they set him free. I didn know how he was captured i said that he was headed towards the shire and the Orcs captured him there..oo well no sense changing it
