We had another beautiful day. No more rain forcasted till Friday so we lucked out. We decided this morning to head down to the Caverns and to visit Route 66 along the way. This morning dawned slightly cloudy and warm. After a bit of mix-up with directions we headed to the arch. It was just starting to rain as we entered. We glanced around a bit and went to buy tickets to ride the *small* tram to the top. It's a 4 minute ride in a seriously tiny tram car. Well we made it to St. Louis today. It's hot! It's supposed to rain and be cooler in a day or so, so that's good. We arrived in time to go to an awesome restaurant It was under a Blockbuster, so we were skeptical at first. But the food was yum and Ed loved the beer. Updated the photo blog with new garden pictures. Finally got my fence up. I am going to wait to put a top on it until I can see if this is enough to keep the critters away. A top is going to be a bit more complicated if I need it.

One of the founders of La Leche League died this morning. Her name is Edwina Froehlich and she was the oldest of the seven founders. She was also one of the most active and local. She would often come over to the office for lunch with the staff, and attended almost every function we had. She went to Tai Chi every Tuesday and was very active in ( Read more... )
