not much of an update

I've been too tired and in pain to post much. The pain saps what energy and stamina I do manage to build up. Any energy I have for online work goes to my job and at that it's only 5-7 hours a day - luckily I can work weekends and have some time off left for any week I can't make the full 40 ( Read more... )

I want to give comfort and warmth.

So I will it in my heart.

All I can think of is everytime you have a time this miserable, it's followed by either relief or heartening information. May the next phase bring you the relief that those who love you, wish for you.

I wish I had words of wisdom, or just some way of making you feel better.

You're an amazingly strong woman and I wish you and Shay could have met, because I think the two of you would have been kindred spirits from the get go.

Oh man, you are enduring what would crush me. You say you don't have stamina but hon, yes you do. Way more than I do.

It sounds like you have a scorching case of edema. Hopefully your doctor can help you with this.

I pray it is not a tumor.

I'm sorry you're feeling so bad right now. Your doc gives you phenegran or something like it for the nausea from the chemo, right? Most anti-emitics make you drowsy and I don't know about you, but I hate being nauseated more than I hate being exhausted. Hell, I hate being nauseated more than anything at all. What has your doc said about the bloat? Does he/she know how much it's impacting your day to day activities?

I've never been truly ill, I think a bad flu is the worst I've ever had so I have absolutely zero authority on the matter. I'm just trying to offer comfort or something the best way I know how to, which is give unsolicited advice because I'm really crappy and awkward at expressing compassion. Hey, at least you know I'm being sincere when I tell you a bunch of stuff you probably already know!

I hope you feel better soon and I really hope the next round of chemo goes easy on you.
