I just finished watching Space: Above and Beyond for the first time. It pummeled me in the gut. My friend Forest advised that I not watch anything past The Angriest Angel (episode at the start of perhaps the last third of the series). I am glad I ignored him HOWEVER….damn, my guts hurt. Never heard of it. *chuckles* I so don't pay attention to TV, given I don't have cable. That's kind of sad. I wouldn't mind having people over to watch some television sometimes. On those freak occasions when I have time that is.

It's from the early to mid-nineties, IIRC. It's contemporary with mid-period X-Files.

Thank you for mentioning that it’s out on DVD…I used to really dig the show, but never got to see all of it…

I highly recommend it if you enjoy SciFi and military themed shows/movies. Since you used to dig it I guess you know how awesome it is already.

I always enjoy peddling my crack to poor unsuspecting scifi geeks *evil laughs*. And you are quite correct, the producers knew the end was coming, ala Serenity style (yay, thanks foxs *angry rude gesture*) and they decided to pretty much rip out your guts, dange a jig, and then nicely return them to your innards.
Anyone who liked Serenity, I highly recommend the series to*.
