thank you for the lovely images ^^ and the review is very helpful and sort of give me an image of what to expect when I finally read this :) I was hoping to read a review from this but it's so hard to come by one, thanks very much megori for sharing your opinion and the insight
I must say though I hope June are planning on licensing releasing vol 2 as well, I can not wait to read it myself I very much enjoyed the S series by Aida Saki I do agree though I do hope that volume 2 is one that actually gives an insight to the story in depth (not too much detail but enough to fill in the gaps)I recently read Only The Ring Finger Knows vol 4 and boy does it leave you on a cliff hanger I am hoping to read volume 5 shortly after it is released :)
also thank you for the small snippet although I have not read this novel yet it intrigues me enough to want to ^^
Ah, I've only managed half of OtRFK 3 a few months back, but I've got to reread it as I totally forgot what I've read thus far. xD
Near the end of 2009, I recall seeing June with All You Need is Love vol. 2 on preorder (for spring 2010), but I haven't been able to find it recently, so I'm not entirely sure if that volume is going to be released any time soon (or if ever) anymore. It'll be unfortunate if they don't release volume 2 as well. I am, to say the least, a little curious as to how the rest of their story goes.
I did find something for you on amazon.com it says release date for it is may 26 so it might be available for pre-order very soon I hope :) but I wouldn't count on the date been right though June have been delayed with releases recently
Mm, I highly doubt the release date is even half accurate on Amazon.com. June Manga doesn't even have the title listed on it's novels page, so I'm thinking that they probably decided to drop the license (I hope not) after seeing the web-a-thon go so poorly for volume one. Of course, this is all speculation and I'm hoping I'm wrong.
I liked very much of your post about this novel. I was curious about this novel and I´d like to buy it, but unfortunately when I live such book aren´t sold and I don´t have ICC. Thank you for sharing the summary, the illustrations and your opinion. You do a great good by sharing it all. Ok, they are lincensed, but through people like you that we can kill our hunger for yaoi. :D Thanks.
Lol. Your welcome~ Glad you found it a little useful. It'd definitely be great if this genre was more accepted and the books became a little easier to get a hold of.
I have to say that I am 100% percent a sucker for this kind of story even if the whole thing is cliched and had been adopted in various forms by various yaoi mangakas/novelist. Your insight to this novel is probably what I would find similar myself after getting through the initial excitement of it all. It won't dawn upon me the first time reading it but by the second time around, the flaws will start showing like cracks on the wall.
I appreciate your insight to this and though I may be left unsatisfied in the end, my curiousity for it is enough to kill a boat load of cats.
Haha. My initial excitement for this novel died soon after Junya gave himself up to Kobayakawa so quickly. I prefer the ukes who are fiestier, a little more manlier (not necessarily more physically manlier, but more ballsy and prideful). When I read, I generally end up making a lot of mental notes about all of the flaws I find as well. Sometimes, I wish I could just read it through without doing it, as it might be more enjoyable, but it's a hard habit to break from (when schools teach you to continuously analyze everything you read from cover to cover). xD
I'm slightly curious about what will happen next as well. Being a sucker for yakuza-esque plots makes me unable to avoid this novel even if this volume wasn't entirely satisfactory. Lol.
Thank you for your review ^_^ I've been interested in this novel since last year and when it was published I thought I could finally get my own copy, but no, is already out of stock (where I can buy it). So I'm glad I could read more about the plot and characters. And I didn't expect to read about a softie yakuza ^_^
