Because I wanted to... ? It had no other reason than it stuck out to me as I was reading and I thought to myself, "why not post it?" That's it.

I like this post. I can apply it personally to my life through compare and contrast and other means. It can amake me more aware of how to pray, if need be. The person posting it is important to me, and I take joy in reading what is important to her. Also, there is no harm in becoming educated and reading what other men and women of God see. This seems to be a call, an awakening, a reality check.

I completely agree with your post; especially of there being “no harm in becoming educated and reading what other men…of God see.”

Though, it’s what a person does with that education that is of concern.

For I find it interesting Severe Bevere published that book eight years ago, and yet, nothing’s changed. I would propose things have gotten worse. And I think it ironically saddening that such things, or anything for that matter, are quoted without there being a purpose for doing so.

It’s what is done with that call, that awakening, that reality check, that matters; where are the responses of the righteous: here am I, send me?

I firmly trust (& choose to believe) that no finger-pointing is intended in the above post. As far as the call goes, and only because I wish to answer for myself, is that, yes, I've heard it, and yes, something is being DONE about it. I, too, tire of hearing the good words and then not seeing the good actions. I am as guilty as all. It is my prayer that the words mentioned and the Word I am hearing change my heart, thereby changing my words and my deeds - for out of the heart come the actions of man.

Of course there's no finger-pointing. But you have to admit to the irony.

And if you could, etch me out of being included in the guilty as all. Cause I'm not guilty.
