A friend posted this to her blog. I must say, I am absolutely thrilled that this has been produced and is on the market. I read that some prostitutes in Vietnam used a similar "trick." I wonder if I could get any of these in Kenya? So people, what do we think? Fantastic device and let's just give a casual "oh well" to the naysayers who claim ( Read more... )

That is frickin AWESOME. You know me... I'm not broken up at all about how it may hurt the rapist.

I knew you'd like it ;-) I really think it's a thrilling idea, though the question is: will women actually use it? I admit, it seems a pretty scary device and I'm not sure I'd ever use one. We'll have a better idea once some idiot actually rapes a woman who is "packing" so to speak...

We wouldn't want to hurt rapists. Dear God, no. Nor would we want to harm fetishists dumb enough to use a penis-slicer-and-dicer to get off.

And the best part is - the device can't be removed except by a medical professional (well, w/o any serious, long-term effects that is), so it automatically "brands" these guys. I wonder if doctors will have to report their removal to the police?

I like it (No, not THAT way, you sickos!).

The worst part about it is that if you used it in the US, you'd probably end up being sued by the rapist. Or maybe the worst part is that they have a non-negligible chance of winning.

Good point. This is especially likely since most rapes are perpetrated by attackers who know their victims. Ideally there would be a way to record the woman's refusal so that it could be shown he "ventured at his own risk" and thus has no case.
