I HATE MY WORK!!!!!!!!!!!
i go in there to check my shifts after being away for three months. im working on saturday which im cool with, and then i get told there is no longer cancellations for your shifts, which means u either have to call in sick or notify them with enough time so i dont get shifted on.

Not a rule. Not at all. Trust me, my line manager is an SDA rep. They are pulling shit out of their arse. There is nothing in the Coles Myer SDA Agreement about Easter at all except for which days are public holidays, and which days they're NOT allowed to open for.

thats what im going to do. get mum to call me in sick on thursday that i have really bad tonsillitis and then i'll make sure i dont go into work. im casual for starters i should think im able to cancell shifts. isnt that what casual is?

i do not think it's a bad thing to quit a job in last year of uni if you've got a better offer. If I get any part time job that says, you are going x amount of hours on y days, and I dont' have to fuck around with shift work and asking for days off at the expense of hours, i'd quit in a heartbeat!
