The news story is inaccurate and misleading, as is the wikipedia article.

This summerizes somthing about information in our culture.

We're members of the church, and yeah... I love all the comments that we are pro-gun (HUH!?) and tend to have silent, personal relationships with God that we just don't share. I stopped reading KnoxNews comments because they were becomine so hateful.

I hope that even if some sort of tolerance awakening doesn't come from this that at least people will be better educated about the UU church and it's acceptance of everyone, no matter what their spiritual path.
