So I have decided that I am going to get another African Grey. It has been a year since Novi passed. I knew I felt ready when I saw some and I just liked them for themselves, didn't feel the sadness of missing my bird. There are 4 Congo greys available and 2 Timnehs. Two of the Congos will be ready next week. One of them is smaller and sweeter

It took me a year before I could get another bird; I realized I just desperately missed having one around. And it's been fantastic having Dixie. It's good you know how you're feeling; you're ready to be a new mom to a new bird.
I worry every time I get her nails clipped, though, from your story.
