Burial by blossoms #1 - Beneath the cherry trees

Feb 01, 2014 20:04

There are bodies buried beneath the cherry trees!
You’ve got to believe it. Well, otherwise you couldn’t possibly believe that cherry trees could bloom so beautifully. I’ve been out of sorts these past two or three days, because I couldn’t believe in such a beauty. But now I’ve finally understood it: there are bodies buried beneath the cherry trees ( Read more... )

thank you very much for sharing these things!
I'm always happy to read your entries about L'Arc, since your entries always tell me so many thing I previously didn't know about L'Arc songs and it's very interesting! :D
for me Kasou is L'Arc's most mystical song so far. the PV even gave me creepy feeling everytime I watched it ^^;

I just realized that Kasou's kanji came from the kanji of 'flower' and 'burial' and apparently the story behind it was the reason why it's like that nee~ so that's why there are flowers petals everywhere when they performed this song live.
I'll be looking forward for your next entries about this! ^^

*by the way, your sakura header looks so Kasou! XD

Your nice comments make me always happy!
Thank you for your kind words <3
they mean so much to me :)

The PV is really creepy! Like the lyrics.
But they tell different stories...
About the title, it's often translated as "funereal flowers", but i prefer another interpretation: "burial by blossoms". i'll tell you why in my next post.

Thank you for noticing my header!
i always try to find an artistic picture linked to the song i'm analysing. then i photoshop it a bit.
This time i found out a wonderful Japanese pic by Hayami Gyoshu, called "Spring evening" (1934). Look at it: http://blog-imgs-31.fc2.com/n/e/k/nekoarena/20091010203700e7d.jpg
it really fits Kasou a lot!!

whoaa, you're right! the picture is very nice and indeed very Kasou! especially because there's also the crescent moon apart of the sakura nee~

actually when I first being a fan of L'Arc, I didn't know how 'Kasou' was written and when I tried to look up for the meaning, 'cremation' would come up first. I thought that's the meaning because the PV seemed to portray about death, but apparently it was from the kanji of flower and burial.
I'm really looking forward to know the story behind it in your next entry ^^

Yes, the pic can convey the "beautiful" side of Kasou atmosphere, but not its creepy feeling...
well, there isn't a long story behind the title ^^; as you've already said, hyde invented it because of the story the song tells.
i'd like only to add my interpretation, because i've always trusted the translation "funeral flowers", but now i prefer "burial by flowers".
it seems that both of us changed their opinion about Kasou title recently XD

Thank you so much for this ♥

Recently I listen to Kasou a lot, so I was very surprised when I saw your tweet abouf this entry, like... WOAH what a coincidence XD

Btw, I seems to cannot find what hyde said in hyde's diary as in this entry, you tag it as (F) but I didn't see it >.< .....or maybe I just need to wear glasses X)

Edit : sorry for double comments, I thought the first one didn't get through..

Wow really? What a coincidence!
You have good taste, girl! Kasou is such an amazing song!

I've put all the sources i used all together, this time, so there are sources i'll use in the next post (like C) and sources i don't quote, like F.
At first i thought of quoting from each text, but then i gave up (but left the list).
the reason is hyde didn't say much in his entries T__T
he only said that they recorded the music in March and the voice in April.
Well, he chatted a bit about the fact he had his eyebrows shaved off for the PV...
it seems it was a big deal back then XD

Sorry for the mess ne ><
And thank you for your comment <3
