You know what? before reading interviews about Kasou, i made the same mistake: barabara = roses XD So you can imagine what a shock i had when i found out ken was talking about sakura! this was the starting point for these posts XD

about the double suicide, it's an interpretation i found on several Japanese blogs. i think it can explain a bit the first verse. but everything is so ambiguous, you can really take it as you like :) i liked the idea of double suicide also because other elements are linked to literature, and this made me appreciate this song even more (even if i don't really know Japanese literature in depht)

Ah about the haiku at the beginning, the expression "covered with cherry blossoms" can be actually translated as "buried with cherry blossoms", too. it's perfect for kasou!! i thought XD

oh thank you so much for doing this song, I like this song and your deep thought about the lyric makes me more realize that Hyde is indeed a great lyricist XD I've read different translations of L'Arc songs and usually the interpretation of the lyric is slightly different O.o

Anyway I hope you can do more of this in the future, maybe there's "I'm So Happy" in your list? :D The song and the story behind it intrigue me..

hyde's hotness and beautiful voice are well-known, but his ability as a lyricist is a bit under-rated, i think. it depends on the song, of course, but in some cases, like this one, he did a great job!

japanese is very ambiguous, so different interpretations bring to different translations (apart from mistakes...). interviews help me to choose the interpretation that seems to be closer to the lyricist's idea.

actually on my list there's another song...but after it nothing else XD
i don't know "I'm so happy" too well. i remember only that hyde made it in an unusual way. there's something specific you want to know?
this would help me a lot. i may try to search for it, but expect long long time XD
these things take a lot of time, and i'm currently busy...

Actually I'm interested with I'm So Happy because it looks like Hyde and Sakura both fond of the song (those two are my favorite members :D)

Like how Hyde said he wrote the song based on Sakura's image and how he personally chose it for L'20 anniversary live/Quadrinity-Hyde CD/L'Acoustic version or sang it in his solo live, also Sakura used to sing it in his own live and said it's his/their favorite song. And when they both were in the same event (after Sakura left the band) and there's a jam session they would performed this song together, so yeah I think there's a story behind it :D

And why Hyde changed the lyric in the acoustic version.. Btw do you have the link to the new lyric and its translation, I've read it before but I can't find it now >.<
