The thing I associate in my mind with red is blood. But not my own blood, the vivid-color blood you can see, to say, in a movie. Like in a horror film, in the scene where a shower of blood is spattering. The blood coursing through my body is more darkish, I think.

Well, I think he made it in a naive way, like a sort of initiation rite towards adulthood.
