Forbidden Lover: History of a song 2

Oct 21, 2011 02:07

II.The LYRICS

This is intended to be a sort of analysis of the lyrics, an interpretation of forbidden lover, on the basis of a few precious hints hyde himself gave here and there in some interviews. I’ll try to make a precise distinction between what he said and my own thoughts.

So, as soon as I thought: “ah, hyde is coming”, I started playing games in another room. (laugh) (ken) )

single:forbidden lover, history of a song, year:1998, l'arc~en~ciel

Oh I think I missed the part one of this Forbidden Lover theme ne? I'll dig in ur journal ;D

This analysis is very interesting, I can feel the intensity of how hyde want the song to be. I never thought Forbidden Lover is about a war. I know Hoshizora does, but this one is a new insight for me, thank u ♥

No wonder he always cry when sung this song at L'7 trans Asia via Paris n L'7 in the FLA2.

Can't wait for the next part :)

These performances were so incredible!
Because of them I chose to work on forbidden lover: I was really really impressed!

I think that war is one of the most recurrent theme in hyde's lyrics, everytime he sees it from a different viewpoint, though it's always clear how much he hates war.

Really! Thank you so much for this!
I really love the way he (HYDE) thinks. He has a deep thinking.
And he always makes me wonder.

LOL for Leader-sama.. They both can cry easily.
But it's so sweet ne~~

Really! I knew he was using metaphors, and I wanted so badly to understand them! I'm so thankful to him because he left some hints!

LOL for Leader-sama.. They both can cry easily.
It was a little unexpected, but I'm glad they enjoy their own songs ^-^

Thanks for nice comment ^___^

Loved your analysis, and thank you for doing it, but I think it is mostly wrong... Although I would not have been able to understand this song without your very detailed and thorough thoughts ( ... )

The Movie Hyde was referring to sounds like the beginning of Bram Stoker's Dracula with Gary Oldman, Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder :)

I thought the same but when I was checking the plot (saw it years ago, can't remember almost anything ><) I found out that the girl commited suicide, she was not killed by enemy (like hyde stated)... but well, she did that because she received false report of Dracula's death from enemy, so it's like the enemy killed her indirectly ?
But you're right, this is probably the movie he's talking about :)
Thanks for pointing it out <3
