Naruto Drabble - Proud, Want, Slight
Proud - Despite what was generally believed of Kakashi, he was proud of his 'children' -- of Team Seven. Even though they were the least balanced of all. He was proud, and he loved those broken children of his, the shattered pretty things that the village gave to him. He took them under his wing, and he polished their breaks until some were dull and safe, and some others were dangerous weapons. Hokage warned him once not to do it, not to twist them like he did. But he loved them all so much that he couldn't help it. He was broken too.
Want - In a way, Sakura doesn't fit in. She is the weak link. Naruto is crackling with angry power, and Sasuke calmly and stoically walks that line of madness, never flinching. But Sakura is normal. In a way, she feels alone, because she is not loved like Naruto and Sasuke. Kakashi loves them so much, she can see. He drives them, and trains them, and shapes them. At first, she wants to be like that. She wants to be like them. She wants to be loved like they are. But she is normal, and quiet uncracked, and Kakashi doesn't love her like he loves them. She is normal, and safe, and healthy, and for this, Kakashi loves her the most.
Slight - Kakashi might be the only person that Sasuke considers an equal. He reacts to his sensai in a way that betrays this thought too easily -- he is constantly aware of the little things that the silver-haired man does, of the little looks and the slightest inflections in his words. He knows that anyone with the strange skills and speed that Kakashi has is just wearing a mask when he acts the way he does. Its a poor mask, Sasuke knows, especially that he can see it. Its a weak mask that lets too much through, and he recognizes the breaks just like the ones in his own.
