Um, hi!??

I just received the film for Christmas and Nate hasn't seen it yet. Thanks for building it up so much that he'll be sure to pop it in tonight.

Geez, can't even keep an ending quiet anymore.

i totally forgot about that!! i'm so sorry, i figured none of my livejournal friends would be interested in watching it at all. your director's cut version is approximately 220 minutes, i know because i had to watch all of it. i did really enjoy the movie, though, i was just annoyed at the ending. nate should still watch it. and he should disregard what i said about the ending. i was lying. it ends happily.

I don't really think you're obligated to make a "spoiler alert" on a movie that's, you know, twenty-five years old.

ARE TOO!!

For those who have never even READ about the movie, it is sinful to ruin the ending.

And for those who pronounce the German word for boat as the English boot (i.e. others who have not heard of the film, regardless of its age), obliterating 215 minutes of character building in the final scene is minimal punishment. (Note: Nate does not fall into this category)
