Summary: Inoo was pushing too much for a chance to get a day to enjoy with the rest of HSJ, getting Yabu a little pissed. Little did Yabu know that this was probably the last night phone call he will get from Inoo before he leaves.
Author's notes: Wasn't proof read. Grammatical corrections are welcome. It’s been so long since I wrote a fic that’s chaptered…. I’ll try to keep it short though to prevent from me not being able to finish it and people killing me because of that. I’m out of trance today so sorry if there’s no coherence in my writing style.
“Don’t worry I won’t be bothering you a few months from now when I leave to study in England.”
It kept him pre-occupied the whole night long up to the next day and yet, the younger one just brushed it off as if nothing happened. No matter how much he wanted to ask him about it, he couldn’t bring himself into. Especially not when there are so many things to be done.
Practice ended quite late and almost everyone just rushed out of the building to go home and get a good night’s sleep.
Inoo was the only one left inside the dressing room when Yabu got back from turning in the day’s report. “Where’s everyone” he asked as to distract the air of uneasiness between him and the other.
The younger didn’t bother to look who it was as he continued to put his things inside his bag. “They all left already, too tired from all the day’s work.”
‘Now’s my chance to ask him.’ Yabu closed the door and approached Inoo slowly. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Hmm… about what?” still not looking, he zipped his bag and placed it on his shoulders.
The older one who was staring at his back, looked away and whispered “England”
Inoo turned back to look at him and sighed. “I wasn’t allowed to tell it to anyone until I got the final decision of Meiji.”
“But why?” He then turned to look at Inoo in the eyes.
The younger one was surprised to see a mixture of sadness and hurt in Yabu’s eyes. He looked away from the other’s gaze. “It’s not like I wanted to, the University chose me to participate and even went directly to Johnny-san to ask for permission. Johnny-san was pleased about the news and even offered to sponsor me while I study there.” He sighed again then frowned. “I never get how Johnny-san makes his decisions”
“How many months will you be staying there?”
“A year. I’ll be continuing my majors there together with learning their language. Anyway it’s getting late, if you’ll excuse me” Inoo then hurried to the door to prevent Yabu from further interrogating him when Yabu caught his wrist causing Inoo to look at him again.
“Wait~”
“Please Yabu, let’s not make this any harder that it already is.”
Stunned Yabu let the younger boy go, running away from him. Looking at Inoo was like seeing his own feelings being reflected on them.
