I am so tired. There is so much pressure at work to get more done. We have more work so instead of hiring more people they are just saying to go faster. My boss told me I had to get 240 proofs efiled today. I got 140 done. Which was still probably 2x as many as Maria but I am no sure how many Harrison got done. I do not expect it to last. The nick said they are going to start a Saturday shift. They want people to volunteer & if we don't then we get assigned 1 Saturday a month. & we get another day off but the Saturday shift is 4 or 6 hours so if you want another whole day off you have to make up 2--4 hours on other days. I find working more than 8 hours a day very exhausting. No one on my team wants to work Saturdays unless they get OT & usually they won't but this week we can get OT if we work Saturday. We were supposed to email nick & tell him if we would work this Saturday & if we wanted to work regularly on Saturday or were willing to work once a month. I wanted to say no to all of it but I said I could work a few hours this Saturday & would work 1x a month only because j feel like I have to be a team player. This was supposed to be a 9--5 job. We have so much work right now & nick's solution that e just all work faster is not cutting it. He cannot accept that there comes a point where one is at capacity. I already usually skip at ( ... )

This mean person at work is someone you also live with? Did he help you get the job? This job just gets more and more awful. I wish you had other options.

Maybe I do have other options but I do not feel like I do. It took me so long to find this job (yes he helped) that I am afraid no one else would hire me. After the condo closes & I pay off bills I need a new goal or life plan or something.

One stressful thing at a time... Finish the condo and then look for something else. The job market is much better out there right now. And you deserve better! You have great skills. Do you have a linked in account?

esp. with what you all are doing.

sounds like he's dealing (poorly) with anxiety
which means to me he's feeling the same pressures.
sadly you're acting as the pressure relief valve.

Hopefully the condo will go fast, the housing market is good.
less stress is better.
