Some things I have learned in the past few weeks
There are fish in the lake outside my dorm.
When you get your ID car authorized to swipe the front gate it is then somehow always open.
White cheddar mac and cheese is not as awesome as it should be.
Girls from Idaho just don't do it for me, or my friends.
I can eat 19 Hooters naked chicken wings in one decent go.

Though I think what you put at the end there is the best part. To be excited to be doing what you're doing? There's no finer thing in the world, my friend. :D
