I don't even own a coat...

We are getting a horrible and unusual cold snap down here in the South. I am not prepared at all seeing how I don't even own a coat, gloves or a scarf. I never needed them before since the average Winter weather here is in the mid-fifties

Hives? Wow, you've got me beat. The most I do is turn beet red all over the ears, nose and fingers because I am half Irish. It's like someone took each of those body parts and dipped them into Kool-Aid. My feet turn purple. I don't even know how they do that.

Eat warm things? Yeah, I should make some soup, shouldn't I?

-15! And I was complaining about our 20+ weather here. I bow down and humbly retreat at your painfully cold number. Like I said before, you are made of stronger stuff than me. I would be on the first plane south as soon as the weatherman even hinted that the temperature could be that cold. No amount of toasty egg drop soup could keep me to stay.

Maybe you are breaking out in hives because it's too dry? When Winter comes here and the air becomes drier than the Sahara my skin goes to pot. Mostly, I break out in dry, cracked rashes. I have to put moisturizer several times a day and even then it's still bad. Is it humid at all where you are?
