This truly broke my heart. This was so so sad...I think it may be because I am a mother..and when I read about this kind of thing..I always think..this is someone's child who has been beaten, raped...you name it...I am so glad the person was saved in the end...it will be a long recovery with more than physical pain ahead for the victim. I am looking forward to see what you will write next for him...Michele

Wow, what a start. I don't know who "the man" was, could be Ennis, could be Jack, could be anyone but whoever it was it was heartbreaking. Great job of conveying that terror of being hunted. You have a great style to your writing and I will be looking forward for more.
