To be honest, I struggled with whether to get out of my car when I pulled over. I had a term paper due by midnight. And not a lot of time to finish it. When you think about it, the fact that this crossed my mind for even a second while somebody was laying in the middle of the road makes me kind of an egocentric jerk.
It's just... the guy was bleeding. And most other people seemed to be rubbernecking, but not moving to help. (It's a very busy intersection, tons of traffic.) When I really began to process what I was seeing, I couldn't *not* get out.
I don't know that this means I rock. I think it means I'm human.
