Yabby photos! With BONUS SQUEE~!
Woohoo! I got pics! Cut to save your friends list, because huge pictures of eldritch abominations are not what everyone wants to unexpectedly scroll past. :P
Gozer! Who totally does not think it's ironic or amusing that after spending weeks harassing all her tankmates, she's now the one hiding on top of the heater because her brand-new shell is still soft and Scuttly has been chasing her around the little statue of Ursula the Sea Witch.
Scuttly! Who really didn't want to have his photo taken. Seriously, I'd peer into the tank, he'd do the usual yabby thing of coming up to the glass to threaten me, and as soon as I raised the phone he'd run off and hide before it could focus. This is the best one I got.
YumYum! Who would like to point out that he's not actually big enough to eat yet, and hopefully never will be, but does not mind posing for pictures. It's his turn to moult next, it'll be interesting to see if he changes colour too.

See, when we first got the yabbies, NomNom (now departed to the big dam in the sky) had half a dozen teeny babies hanging on under her tail. As baby yabbies do, they let go and promptly buried themselves in the sand to hide from their parents, because... er... well, they control their own population.

IS THAT NOT JUST THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER?!?!?
Teeny is currently hiding under the piece of driftwood after dragging a bit of bottom feeder food pellet the size of his/her torso under there, a feat of strength and determination that I cheered on enthusiastically. Go, Teeny! Eat your yummy food pellet! Grow!
