The ITCZ has dumped an amazing amount of rain in our direct region over the past few days. There was widespread flooding and thousands of commuters have been stranded in the capital much less the rest of the affected areas. Summer Holidays
The internship is done. Since I Started a week earlier than my cohorts, I get to finish a week earlier too. This means that all of August is mine.
Suprisingly, the last 2 weeks of the rotations were the best - suprisingly because it was spent in an office.
First 6 weeks - Garden centre.
Next 2 weeks - field ( extension officer to farmers, even ( Read more... ) -

Week 3 of my internship is finished - 7 more weeks to go. I am having fun. The first half of the 10 week rotation, I am spending in a Garden shop and the last half of the 10 weeks I'm going to be in the offices of the chemical company and traveling with the agronomists. More detail later.

Okay, the general May update - Finals are going to be over at the end of this week and and I am waiting on the edge of my seat to find out if I'm going to score an internship. I really really want to - I'll take a position in any field at this point and I am an Agriculture student with Lab qualifications so 'any field' is pretty broad.
