Renting is for the birds. I’m sorry all of this nonsense has come up, but nonsense is a given when dealing with people. Your landlord seems excessively crazy and flat out rude. I don’t know if I could have kept my thoughts to myself concerning her demands. But I agree, sometimes a good rant is just what you need.
:) I just needed a little rant. I won't ever have to see the woman again, thank god! I made my husband promise that he would deal with the moving out walk-through if I dealt with the emails.
We don't mind renting, we just prefer people who are professional and have reasonable expectations. We are ideal renters. We respect the property, we always pay our rent and when we leave we always try to leave it as clean as we got it. But what she wanted was for us to treat the property exactly as she had... Nevermind the fact that she is single and didn't have kids. She even wanted us to feed all the stray cats, which really amounts to feeding the possums, raccoons and skunks, since she requested us to have food out all the time... yeah, that didn't last long! ;)
