My customhouse doll arrived! She's a Ramiel and she's so cute. Hopefully I'll get some pictures tomorrow. But until then here's a vintage pose doll, also known as a Bradley. I found her in a thrift store and was charmed by her color and style.

Neat! She makes me think of some old delicate kimono wearing girl dolls I had as a kid. Something about her arms reminded me of it.... lol

But anyway, wow... she's really vibrant in color. She'd make a great center piece for a table setting at easter.

Aww, my grandma used to have a lamp that had a little girl on it like that. Super cute. :D

I used to have dolls like that, only mine had fingers and massive dresses.:)

I think I have one around here, I did until recently anyway... if I can find her I'll take a photo..:)

Oh you should! There's a group on flickr for them and there are so many beautiful dolls.

What is the URL or name of the group? I would love to check it out.

We tend to think that Japanese influence is a modern thing, but I had my doll in the early 70's, and I am under the impression that they came out slightly earlier than that..

I really really adore her! She's AMAZING.

In fact, I loved the first picture so much I icon-ized it for you, if you want it. There are three versions...

Awh, yours is really cute!

I used to see them a lot here..not Bradley ones, ones from lesser known companies.

The faces were almost exactly the same, but they didn't have legs..most came in fancy french dresses and were only about $3. I bought one once :3.

The more I see of these pose dolls, the more I like them. They have a certain charm about them :D I'm going to have to be on the lookout for one next garage sale season!

I used to see them all the time. Then when I fell in love I stopped seeing them. Go figure.
