Howdy.
I'm still alive - just haven't read or posted here in a very long time. Been very busy with Jilly's diabetes management. She's doing good, but it's a new life and I've had to focus on it. I have blog for it here:

Awww, it's good to hear you're doing ok. :3
The blog looks great! That post about Bean "saving the world" made me smile. ♥

Haha, it's understandable, though! I mean, you have a much busier life than say, me. XD

It's so great to hear from you! I read the first page of your diabetes management blog; I plan to read the rest. I find it really interesting--there's so much to do, yet Jilly is doing so well with the changes. I'm sure she has her off moments, LOL. . . but it sounds like she is, as always, a joy. ^_^

From the blog:
I have to confese I'm getting a bit tired of hearing people respond with comments like 'Oh that's a shame.' When finding out she is a diabetic.

I'm curious, for future reference: What would be a better thing for someone to say? I definitely wouldn't want to make it sound like I thought there was anything "wrong" with Jilly, but I wouldn't want to make it sound like I was glad she had diabetes, either! Heh. Have there been any responses to "She has T1D" that have stuck out as the kind of things you'd rather hear? Or, pretend that I just found out. . . what would be better for me to say than "Oh, I'm so sorry!!"?

Man that's a good question. How do you not sound uncaring or condescending? What is the right response?

Sorry im slow at replying. Honestly the best response I've had is when people ask - how did you find out? Because it's a bit empowering to explain the symptoms and what to look for. It's like maybe sharing that info might help someone else.
