My customhouse doll arrived! She's a Ramiel and she's so cute. Hopefully I'll get some pictures tomorrow. But until then here's a vintage pose doll, also known as a Bradley. I found her in a thrift store and was charmed by her color and style.

Pain!

I cleaned the hell out of the bathroom. I'm talking on my hand and knees scrubbing. And now my back hates me. There's still so much to do before the family gets here. And I am a stressed out basket case.

Yesterday we went to a kiddie pony birthday party. It was a lot of fun.

Hit the thrift yesterday after taking Bean to brownies where she made kitty toys for the local shelter. I LOVE the thrift over by brownies, it can have such good stuff - the crappier the town, the grittier and better the thrift. This election has been interesting for many reasons. Last night among everything we got to explain to the Bean how voting 'red' doesn't mean your a horrid person - even if you don't like the candidate. We explained to her how there are many people she loves who voted for the other guy, and how in the end we all want the same thing - we just differ ( Read more... )

While doing the dishes and wearing my yellow gloves.
I cried.

A black man will be our president. And our generation, with it's open mindedness made that happen. We accomplished something our parents generation couldn't.
