Neverwinter Nights 2, Part Deux

I must say, I enjoyed the official campaign far more than I thought I would after the slow start I had. It ended up being quite engrossing, as you may have guessed from the speed with which I finished it. The plot was the usual RPG cliché of myserious menace, but it was decently written with a fair amount of humour, and I found myself getting very ( Read more... )

Gamespot in their review mentioned that in order to finish the campaign you did not have to finish all the quests. Did you finish all the quests?

I did all the quests that I could find, with the exception of the personal quests of the couple of NPCs I didn't want to have in my party. I hate having quests unfinished!

LOL I can't believe you've finished it. Not that I actually know you but I have restarted like 12 times. I love character creation and I keep getting to the end of Chapter 1 and then deciding I wanna try a different class/build.

I was thinking of friending you if you wouldn't mind. I notice we were born on the same date. It's a sign!

A sign that if you look around LJ enough you'll find people with your same birthday. Not a very exciting sign actually...

Know that Light of Heaven is not best suited to Recruiting. Special Missions or Training are much better uses of her strengths.

Know that if you play a male PC, and go with the Elanee romance option, she comes over as a creepy stalker chick. You might not have liked Neeshka, but know that the vast majority of male posters on the community would much rather have had Neeshka as a romance option than "I used to hide in the bushes and watch you when you bathed" Elanee.

Know that some of the community-created modules now available have superior plots to the OC.

And know that I've Friended you because I noticed on Insane Journal that you're the only other person besides me with NWN2 as an Interest there. There didn't seem to be much point Friending a placeholder journal, however, and so I'm Friending this one. BG, BG2, and JUDGE DEE too!

A fellow Judge Dee fan: come to my arms! :)

I hadn't realised there were any decent new modules out for NWN2 yet. I have been away from the game for about three or four months, while anticipating various new releases (like the Planescape modules), so I shall have to head off to the Vault for some downloading!
