I think whoever scanned Deathly Hallows and put it on torrent is the biggest git to ever exist. It's completely fucking ruining all the excitement for the rest of us. :|
Right... but you don't have to download the torrent. The real people to blame are those who are indiscriminately tossing around spoilers, without such niceties as LJ-cuts. True, without the people who are leaking the book, the assholes shouting spoilers are without means, but I think there's merit in leaking the book - some people LIKE spoilers and prefer to reverse-engineer their books. But people also need to be considerate to the utmost. It's a tricky thing. My solution is to avoid practically everything Harry Potter related - gee, right now even Wikipedia probably isn't totally safe anymore!
Just think, if you missed any spoilers, it will be morbidly funny to look back after you're finished and see what was being spoilt. I'm eagerly looking forward to that.
You should get her not to do that... last time around I said to Katie, "I heard this rumor online, but it's so ridiculous that I'm sure it's not true", and so I told her, and it turned out to actually be TRUE :|. So even "this sounds so stupid, it can't possibly be true" may not actually be right either.
THAT'S WHAT I SAID!!!! *yells exasperatly at Michelle though she is not here* She like this can't be true, listen. Meanwhile I'm plugging my ears and yelling at her to get out of my room.
I did, however, formulate a new theory, but as it's based on potential spoilers I won't post it :P
The person who posted them was like these are not true. Then Shel was like 'is someone supposed to...' and I said yes, because I had a theory based on what JK has release about the book. And she's like... 'oh... well these might be true then.' And yeah.
As a couple of people have already commented - you don't have to download the stuff. You don't have to access the online stuff either. I shall be waiting til the copy at our local library finally stays on the shelves long enough for me to borrow it. Dull or what?
Still, if it's all your group of friends/family are talking about at present then I guess the old 'tune 'em out' trick might just work.
Actually, there are people in the world with morals. I happen to be one of them.
And, well, probably the person who scanned it all thought he or she was doing some good for people who really really wanted to read it. I just happen to disagree with that, that's all.

And I second Katie's post from before about spoilers and HP. I don't even want to hear theories or the most outlandish sounding thoughts. LOL.

& morals? Who has them these days? People just want to be the first with things. Isn't human nature wonderful?
