I don't know how to handle new fandoms. It's bizarre. I've been quite firmly in my forever OTP for freaking 10 years almost, I feel like I'm cheating and I have guilt.

Re new fandoms: I was so terribly naive in that I didn't even realize such things existed. I mean, I knew about the hardcore, old school Trekkies and people who dressed up as Star Wars characters, but I didn't know that people latched onto other things. I still don't know exactly how I so easily lost myself to Monaboyd but I suppose it doesn't hurt that the guys themselves make it crazy easy for the fangirls. I'm tentative about delving into the Sherlock fandom because of that same guilt you mention. But... It's okay to like more than one TV show or movie or novel, so why wouldn't it be okay to check out new fandoms. (See Melanie rationalize. Rationalize, Melanie, rationalize.)

I haven't looked at much Kirk/Spock, to be honest. Trek fandom is the black hole of all fandoms. It legitimately scares me. So I'll just stick to the safety of RPF in one little section of it for now.
