the funny thing is i almost bought that book the other day. I am now glad I didn't.

I disagree. I like Steinbeck. Of Mice and Men is a really interesting book. (sorry I usually refrain from commenting on your livejournal, but I really don't agree with you.)

I think Melanjolly is having flashbacks also to Dr. Connell in ROme and his very negative reaction to finding Steinbeck
