I've never been in a watermelon tree before! Sounds like good times.

I've been in a pomelo tree and now I'm arabian-- does that mean that I get fun pants and a jingly belt? Do I do the dance of the seven veils...or 21 veils since there are three of me?

Oh my best friend from HS used to live on Staten Island (until a few months ago/she now lives in Inwood) I love that place...didn't realize that you lived there. One summer she and two other good friends of mine subletted this mouldering old house...it was huge and had plants climbing all over it and this subterranean kitchen and a really nice garden. It had a strange set-up but was fun for parties.

You're kidding! Small world. i was born & bred here ... let me know if you're ever coming to town! (hey, do you know if your friend went to Curtis High School?) i wouldn't presume to know her, except Staten Island has this lovely inbred quality where everyone knows everyone else (or at least, dated their cousin or worked with their little brother).
p.s. that house sounds awesome! Do you remember what neighborhood it was in?

No we went to high school together in Philly- she moved there in 2002 or 2003...the neighborhood, not sure (I can check) it was walkable to the ferry dock. (Is there more than one?)

!! (no, there's just one ferry) i used to live within walking distance of the ferry, so you must have been near my old neighborhood on the North Shore. Which is infinitely preferable to, and has tons more character than, the South Shore (where i live now). You were probably in St. George, Stapleton, New Brighton or West Brighton. Hee hee, i am seriously getting a kick out of this coincidence; you & i might have passed on the street one time!

I'd visit you in a trailer, but I'd have you live with me long before you thought of doing that.

are you traila-prejudiced?? My grandparents were trailer dwellers for several years, there's no shame!!
