best friend heather and i have a long history of wedding disaster stories. we kept the tradition alive this weekend. the disaster started when we arrived too early. we had to bring friend christie (the bride) her dress and help her with her make-up, dress, etc. for the wedding. while waiting for christie, we managed to eat practically all of the ( Read more... )

Christine was in friend Krystal's wedding in Indiana, so she had to be there the day before the wedding. I rode down the next day with cousin Chris, former friend Ashley, and Jason. We got lost. Not just turned around either, totally lost. Chris was frustrated and yelled at Ashley, who started crying. We finally decided to eat, and as Chris was taking his giant cup of Mountain Dew from the woman at the pick-up window, he dropped it in his lap. I laughed long and loud and clear. We finally arrived in time for the reception line. Christine was mad at me (like it was my foult). I smoked a lot that day.

Luckily, my friends do not get married often, so my opportunities to embarass/make an ass out of myself at someone else's holy matrimony are limited. However, I enjoy reading about your experiences. They made me chortle. Maybe when you get married, I will spill red punch on your dress. On purpose. It will be super, and you will like it.

that wedding was such a hoot. the best part was heathers tangerine colored dress and white sandal shoes. it was so ridiculously out of season. you better behave at my wedding.
