I am legally blind in my left eye. I don't have the closure of a completely blind eye or the lucky cure of contact lenses. With my eye, I am in the rather hopeless position where I can see through blurs, but I can't fix it with surgery or modern lenses. And every time I have to explain my eye, it takes five minutes that otherwise could be spent

Duke, Brown, Boston, Boston U., Tufts U., American U., Northeastern, UVM, UF, UCF, Elon... Lots of good schools, a few reaches, definite acceptances, and two back-ups. It's comforting actually, I feel good about my chances.
I haven't talked to you in awhile, how are you? Enjoying Senior year? I have to admit that I'm secretly, horribly glad that yor pictures turned out less than excellent, my were awful. UGH, I hate mass photo studios, their photographers have no taste.

I'm okay! You? Senior year is all right. I was dreading it at first, but it is rather fun to tell underclassmen that I'm a senior when I look and act like a sophomore, tops. The senior glory is fun, but graduation/college gives me conflicting emotions. I just want to go to college so I can leave the house and not deal with my ridiculous family anymore; however, the process of doing so (SAT, getting grades up, apps, etc.) is frustrating. As for the senior pictures, I got them redone, and they're still not perfect, but they were better than before. Indeed, though, photos in general suck. So how are things in your neck of the woods?

I'm going to sound like a complete asshole for telling you this, but I didn't read your essay... only because the first thing I noticed was how long it was.
But, believe it or not, that's actually constructive criticism. You're at 742 words. You need to be at 500 or below. I would suggest streamlining your views so that you can cut out a huge chunk... 300 words is a lot to remove, so you're really going to need to re-shape this.
Anyway, good luck!
