i think phil's fine. saw him last summer - he had started a new job that he liked. he quit lj and facebook - too cool for social networking, i guess. :)

If you mean tournaments, I wouldn't count on it, if his comment in the link below holds true. That must have been one of the last times he posted.

I saw him on ISC months ago, but there's no way he's coming back anytime soon, if ever. It sounded like never. If you ask him about the reasons why he's not playing (which I don't want to talk about), they are reasons that won't ever change for the rest of his life.

If he does come back to more than one tournament every 5 years in the middle of Kalamazoo, I'd be VERY surprised.

Phil's doing fine. He graduated and got a job he likes. He's always been one to be out of touch for a while, but I just played an ISC game with him a week or two ago.
