I did a faceplant once (March last year, if you'll remember)...The baffling thing is that the scar that is there for all to see gets nary a mention...
I'm sorry to hear about your aunt, but as you say, it's good that she was spared suffering. Sorry to hear about the cat dying, too - I'm typing this with Leila draped over one of my arms and am keenly aware of how lucky I am to have my moggies still with me (but then, they're mere whipper-snappers at 9 and 12 years old).
Congratulations on losing those pounds! I wish I could summon up the willpower to go on a diet myself...I've gone up 2 dress sizes since losing my job 20 (!) months ago. I know it's all down to comfort eating, but I just can't seem to stop doing it.
Good to see you post. My mom would have turned 80 recently, but we lost her at age 72. I'm glad your mom is hanging in there.
That faceplant sounds awful. I'm glad the teeth and jaw were not damaged.
That crow photo is cool. I just returned to Weight Watchers myself. Way to go on the 8.5 pounds! That's really working the program. I hope your surgery goes well and that you recuperate swiftly.
How lovely to see you. That is a lovely picture of your Mom and Emma.
I can feel your sense of scrambling from day to day, and just about getting through each one - my Mum is getting frailer, but still living alone with her dog, just yet - but I'm not sure for how much longer. Between my sister and I, and the three granddaughters, we visit her at least a couple of times a week - but I can see this soon needing to be stepped up.
Sad to hear of your aunt - and I have a lot of sympathy, too, for you face-planting - I have very poor coordination and it is only a matter of time before I do exactly the same thing - glad the crowns survived though - I'd have been worrying about mine in that situation, too!
I come to Lj even less frequently than you do, it seems, and I've missed out on so much. You remain fondly in my thoughts, even though I'm so out of touch. Do you still have my gmail address? That's the best one to use to find me.
