I was aware of it! I'm kind of sad, since the way it's framed means they never even considered Toph/female as anything but a joke. AND YET.

Yeah, there are problematic aspects that can become apparent there, which concern me a little as well, but unless we get some sort of canon indication otherwise I'm just pleased as all get-out that it's on their radar even if it is as a joke. I will admit Tophzula never remotely crossed my mind until you started watching Avatar and advanced it as a ship, but by now I'm sold.

What am I saying? This may very well continue to be the case in my head EVEN IF we get indication otherwise.
