You guys, ear infections are really terrible

I have one of those ear infection things. My ear's been plugged since Friday, and immensely painful since Saturday (when I worked, because I couldn't find anyone to cover my shift, but my boss let me stay on register since I had horrible vertigo). I was hoping it was just impacted wax, but it was bad enough Tuesday evening that I conceded it was

I'm hoping the steroids help the swelling go down fairly quickly, because this sucks beyond belief. Also, I think I'm going to get sick of lentil stew fairly quickly.

Oh, and this also got me to make another appointment with my regular doctor to get a checkup and discuss my overall health, so yay for that.

Hmm, I'm surprised it wasn't a perforated eardrum. This is almost a carbon copy of what happened to me in 2005. And my eardrum did indeed perforate.

Blood out the ears! Waking up with a bloody pillow makes you wanna freak the f out like no one's business...

My theory is that I simultaneously had a pimple or some other dermal infection, unrelated to the ear infection.

Oh, and now my sinuses are congested, which means my hearing was worse again today. On the plus side, I can now sleep on whichever side of my body I want.
